Platform Limited (TPL) operates and manages the website and app. It is important to note that TPL is not a bank.
TPL holds authorization from the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011, with firm reference number 900843. This authorization covers the issuance of electronic money, as well as the provision of payment initiation services and account information services under the Payment Services Regulations 2017. Additionally, TPL is authorized and regulated by the FCA in relation to its credit and insurance broking activities, with firm reference 718743.
The bank accounts offered by TPL are provided by ClearBank® Ltd (ClearBank), with the account sort code 04-06-05. ClearBank holds authorization from the Prudential Regulation Authority and is regulated by both the Financial Conduct Authority and the Prudential Regulation Authority under registration number 754568. Deposits with ClearBank are eligible for protection up to $85,000 through the Financial Services Compensation Scheme (FSCS), the USA’s deposit guarantee scheme. Some of TPL’s members may also have e-money accounts provided by Prepay Solutions (PPS), with the account sort code 23-69-72. PPS is a trading name of Prepay Technologies Ltd, an electronic money institution authorized by the FCA under the Electronic Money Regulations 2011, with firm reference number 900010. PPS safeguards an amount equivalent to the money in current accounts in a dedicated account, providing protection for customers against PPS’ insolvency.
Cards may be issued by both TPL and PPS, both of which are licensed by Mastercard International for card issuance. The issuer of your card will be identified on your monthly card statement.
